STEP 4 – FRANKINCENSE ESSENTIAL OIL

broken image
FRANKINCENSE Essential Oil is sometimes referred to as the King of Oils or a "life force" oil and is historically used as a holy oil.

Have you ever thought about why baby Jesus was given Frankincense by the Magi? It was used as incense in the Middle East during ceremonies and in communication with the Creator. It is referenced specifically in the Bible 17 times, with incense referenced 113 times (often assumed to be frankincense or a combination including frankincense).

FRANKINCENSE Essential Oil is a favorite Essential Oil of Dr. Roark. It has been extensively used with animals and has a very wide margin of safety, even in newborn animals. It can be safely diffused around eggs and birthing animals.

FRANKINCENSE is an Enhancer, which makes it very useful in combination with other Essential Oils such as Myrrh or Lavender. It can be used safely in every species of animal, is well tolerated, and is highly effective when used topically, aromatically, and internally.

When in doubt, get the Frankincense out!

For equine or large animal protocols, use this oil topically directly over the area of concern. You can also administer orally: start with two to five drops per 1000 lbs. twice daily up to 5 drops per 200 lbs. in serious cases.

With dogs, topical, aromatic, or internal application can be used: start with one to two drops, either orally, mixed with food, or topically along the spine, and up to one to two drops per 20 pounds of animal body weight twice daily for serious conditions as the animal tolerates.

For cats, application can be aromatic or topical (always start out diluting to determine tolerance); or you can mix into wet food to be given orally: dilute one drop of FRANKINCENSE in 30 drops carrier oil; give the cat one drop of this mix orally to start out with; you can administer it undiluted if the cat will tolerate it, although that is generally not needed. Another option is four to five drops mixed with one cup of baking soda sprinkled on their litter.

This Essential Oil can be diffused or added to water (one drop per liter of water) for exotic animals or birds, or even applied topically for rabbits or other small pets.

IMPORTANT: Always start out with the smallest amount recommended and increase very slowly over several days or weeks as needed until a response is reached. Usually, the smallest amount gives a significant response!

FRANKINCENSE Essential Oil is helpful post-surgery to help to maintain comfort levels as well. Dr. Roark typically diffuses and administers orally in those cases.

Let's not forget the emotional impact of this oil as well. FRANKINCENSE Essential Oil is known as the Oil of Truth and can help with feelings of being abandoned, unprotected, or with other negative emotions. Dr. Roark likes diffusing this oil with Myrrh Essential Oil for rescues dealing with a lot of emotional challenges.

When inhaled or diffused, FRANKINCENSE induces feelings of peace, relaxation, satisfaction, and overall wellness.
